Exotic Spice Oil – my favorite body oil

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of hemp, jojoba, and/or sweet almond ~ I like to use a 1/3 cup of each
  • 65 drops Sandalwood Essential oil
  • 11 drops Lemongrass essential oil
  • 44 drops ginger essential oil

Instructions

Blend essential oils together, let them “marry” for about an hour.  Combine your carrier oils.  Stir essential oil blend into carrier oils.

Spritz your skin with a hydrosol (or apply while you are still wet from a shower or bath), this makes oil go on much lighter and smoother while sealing moisture in your skin.

The Jojoba and Sweet Almond oils while superior for skin and quickly absorbed are quite pricey, as is Sandalwood essential oil.  If you make this yourself you can choose carrier oils that are not as costly.  I also like to use babab and/or calendula infused olive oil.

You can purchase this pre-made by Bobbi using the carrier oils as mentioned in the recipe.  Costs:
2 oz. = $25.00+tax
1 oz = $15.00+tax
Please contact Bobbi if interested, or call Bobbi at 717/443-1119.

Sandalwood is a precious oil!  It is very nourishing to the body and mind and one of the most prized perfumery oils.  It is a tranquil, nourishing, and satisfying fragrance.  It quiets the mind and emotions, enhancing clear thought and heart opening.  It is ideal for meditation and yoga and a top choice for a nourishing skin care oil.  It is so safe it is even ok to put 1 drop neat on your inner wrist to scent yourself throughout your day with its satisfying and calming scent.  Take your meditative mind with you!

I back up the sandalwood in this oil blend with Ginger and Lemongrass essential oils for an exotic spicy sweet scent.  Ginger is highly anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and healing to both body and breath, while lemongrass is energizing both to mood and skin — a skin toner; lemongrass is also useful for encouraging the healing of tissues.
