Ashtanga Yoga Weekend Workshop With Bobbi Misiti
Learn the authentic form of Ashtanga Yoga in a comfortable environment. In this workshop you will learn the Ashtanga Yoga System with emphasis on correct breathing, linking breath and movement, learning how to individualize the poses to your needs and YOUR body, and how to develop focus in your practice putting more yoga into your yoga.
Bobbi Misiti has studied extensively with Nancy Gilgoff and teaches in the classic method of Ashtanga Yoga as Nancy taught her. Nancy Gilgoff has studied extensively with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (the founder of Ashtanga Yoga in Mysore India) for over 35 years and teaches as he taught her. In this way we preserve and honor the lineage of the teachings of Ashtanga Yoga.

(in this session we will look at the core postures–Marichyasana series through baddha konasana–evaluate your limiting factors (if any) to these postures and determine a safe and effective way for you to work into the posture.)
